The age old question, to have a cable or not? Internal or external? Curly or straight?
Regrettably this is one area we really can’t advise on, as experience dictates that this is wholly based on the preferences of the individual.

What we can say is that fortunately this has been long recognised by the manufacturers and many of the top brands offer the cables separately as a retrofit option.

Boompole Care & Maintenance

Boom Pole care and maintenance is essential for ensuring optimal performance and longevity.

Regular inspection should be habitual, along with checking components such as screws, collars and grips. Along with good protection and storage practices. Bags and cases are available from our shop!

Many of the leading boom pole manufacturers provide maintenance kits, spare parts and guides for cleaning and general maintenance. Please contact us for more information should you need any help.

What accessories are available for a boom pole?

We have a large range of accessories in our Rayccom shop. Such as shock mounts, windshields, cables, clips provide support when the pole is not in use. Extensions increase the pole’s reach for wider shots, and weight counterbalances improve handling and reduce operator fatigue during extended use.
