VDB S-QT Small Boom Pole
Designed for maximum portability and ease of use, the VDB S-QT Small Boom Pole is ideal for on-the-go productions like documentaries, news gathering, and broadcasting. Its lightweight design (just 370g) and compact form factor make it easy to transport, while its optimised closed-to-open length ratio further enhances its suitability for these applications.
The VDB S-QT Small Boom pole consists of 6 rigid carbon fibre sections. Featuring an innovative collar system for locking and loosing with quarter turns of the hand and a rubber bottom bumper for adding or replacing an internal cable. The tightening mechanism doesn’t have any threads which is an attractive feature against dust, sand, and makes the QT range of boom poles ideally suited to any filming location.
Featuring a quick release system for the tip, the user may make any required changes to the boom pole quickly and easily without the need of an additional interchangeable tip.

Key Features of the QT Range
- Made from high modulus carbon fiber for a better compromise between lightness and strength
- 6-section design to achieve the greatest length and rigidity when extended, while reducing the size when folded
- “Quarter Turn” clamping system for locking your pole in a quarter turn
- Removable internal mono or stereo cable option, straight or angled output, for all models (wiring kit sold separately)
- Unparalleled longevity thanks to the replacement of all elements (tubes, clamping rings, etc.) in the event of damage to avoid the purchase of a new pole
- Removable “Quick Lock” type head screw ( TOP-SC-2 ) and standard heel ( 6-101 ) included ( 6-103 foam heel for L-QT & XL-QT models)
All these features allow the range to be limited to 6 models covering practically all the operators’ needs in terms of size while facilitating transport and storage.
An EXT extension completes the range.
