Are Wisycom systems compatible with other wireless brands?

Wisycom systems offer a degree of compatibility with other wireless brands, particularly older analog systems. While direct, perfect cross-compatibility isn’t guaranteed due to differing proprietary companding schemes and pilot tones, Wisycom receivers (like the MCR54) often feature software-selectable compander emulation modes (e.g., for Sennheiser G3/G4, Shure, and Lectrosonics’ analog modes).

This means a Wisycom receiver can often pick up signals from other manufacturers’ transmitters. However, users might experience slight variations in audio quality, noise floor, or lack of advanced features like battery monitoring. For optimal performance, using matched Wisycom transmitters and receivers is always recommended.

Further reading on companders can be found on our article on Understanding Analogue Radiomics.

Are Wisycom products suitable for international use?

Thanks to the ultra wide frequency tuning range Wisycom products are very well suited to international use. The flexibility is critical when travelling to countries with varying frequency regulations and allocations. More information on Radio mic frequencies can be found on our FAQ page.
