As the direct successor to our groundbreaking eSMART BG-DH—the original smart battery distributor introduced in 2009—this compact powerhouse builds upon a legacy that revolutionized portable audio power management.
Before the BG-DH, production sound recordists relied on standard batteries, often without any visibility into how much energy remained—an unacceptable compromise for mission-critical work. The BG-DH changed that forever, introducing real-time battery intelligence through SMbus smart battery technology. The MKII version pushes the concept even further with a refined, more compact design, increased functionality, and superior reliability.
