By now, we have heard all about the 700MHz clearance. It’s been creeping up on us for sometime now and the clear out has already begun!

What about 500MHz to 700MHz?

Whilst the talk has been about cutting 700MHz and above. It would appear that they have also eaten away at pockets between 500 – 700MHz. Sneaky! (~This varies with locations throughout the UK.)

So, to ensure that you don’t fall foul of a frequency faux pas. You can check which frequencies are ‘Off Limits’ in the 500-700MHz range using the Ofcom location planner here –

Simply search by location name or by post code and it will provide a list of frequencies (by TV channel) that are available to use.
