Meet the team

How long have you been with the company? I took Raycom over from the family after the sad and untimely death of its charismatic founder and my good friend, Ray Withers in 2002
What is your role? Managing Director. I like to think that I do all the big stuff and lead from the front, but frankly it’s mostly about entertaining my colleagues with inappropriate jokes and hidden song titles in Slack threads
What is your favourite part about working for Raycom? I could say working with such a wonderful team, or having such a charming bunch of customers, but it’s probably us all having pizzas whenever a new member of staff starts
Pick a random fact about you? I once took BBC Radio 1 off air nationwide when Uri Geller walked up to me and caused the equipment I was working on to crash
If you could have any superpower what would you have? The power to give myself superpowers at will
What is your favourite quote (film, Tv, real life)? My hovercraft is full of eels
All-time favourite game? Trying, but mostly failing, to win an argument with my two young girls
What day do you prefer, Saturday or Sunday? Don’t care, so I am going to answer a different question: George Harrison
Ketchup or brown sauce? Mayonnaise
What is your favourite food? Pizza and/or pasta or anything my son creates (actually I just like FOOD!)
What is your favourite place on Earth? Aude, France
If you starred in a movie what would it be called? Fear and Loathing in Evesham
Sweet or salty Popcorn? Mix them together
Cats or dogs? I hate it when it rains
What is the first thing you would do if you won the lottery? Panic
What was your dream job as a kid? Something in electronics and radio/audio/wireless. I guess I have been pretty lucky there
