The DPA DUA0572 Miniature Windscreen Meshfor the DPA 4071 is to reduce slight winds or pop noise from a speaker’s voice or any other turbulence that can cause the diaphragm to disperse.
The Miniature Mesh will give a high frequency boost that is strongest on axis. For use on a speakers chest, it is recommended to mount the microphone pointing upwards in order to avoid boosting the reflections.
